September Randomness

There is a local Japanese Sushi/Tepan place near us that we like to frequent.  Allison was really enjoying her miso soup.  

The spoon turned out to not be fast enough so she switched to just drinking it straight from the bowl.

After school one day Lilliana disappeared into my bedroom.  When I went to find her this is what I found.

I love California.  Even in September we can still swim.  It was a weekday at the pool so we had it all to ourselves.

Apparently there is a national talk like a pirate day.  Krispy Kreme was giving out a free donut to anyone who ordered in pirate speak, or a free dozen donuts if you came dressed like a pirate.  So Allison, Camille, and I dressed like pirates and got our 3 dozen donuts.  We ended up running into a group of sister missionaries outside so we gave them a dozen of our donuts.  Surprisingly we managed to eat those other 2 dozen donuts by the next day!!  They were delicious :)

Each year at Lilliana's school they have a fund run.  The kids all did a great job.  Lilliana ended up running about 5 miles.  Mark did a great job as well.

We have an awesome librarian at our school and through some connections we often have authors and illustrators visit the kids at school.  The first visit this year was by the author Kate Decamillo who wrote Flora and Ulysess, Because of Winn Dixie, and a few others.  Lilliana was able to get a picture with her and have her booked signed.  On the way home from school this is what I saw.

September is also soccer season.

Allison likes to watch the game through the wrong end of the binoculars.
