An "adventure"

Saturday was a nice sunny day so in the afternoon we told the kids we were going on an adventure.  Put everyone in the car and we headed to the Los Alamitos Creek trail.  What a nice little trail that was.  It was perfect for our young children.  The trail was paved so it would have been easy to use the stroller, but we decided to leave it in the car and let Allison walk.  She did pretty well although she kept wanting to stop and pick up handfuls of little rocks.  Along the trail were some of those exercise things that no one seems to use.  The kids had a great time trying them out along the way.  We really didn't walk to far, but it was a nice little family outing, which was followed by my favorite treat - ICE CREAM!  The pictures can show more than I can with words so...

I thought it would be fun to put everyone up in the tree for this picture...it was much harder than I imagined it would be.  Turned out cute though :)

Why are little boys so drawn to water?  I told him repeatedly that he would be sorry trying to walk on those rocks...yup he stepped right into the water.  Luckily it was on our way back to the car.  I was surprised when he didn't complain about it either.
